The gallery format got us more submissions than contests usually do, so maybe we'll be seeing more of this style of format. This month, we're unveiling the two art galleries for Wa-Characters and Microgame ads! We got a lot of good entries, so be sure to check those out. Whatever the dev team decides to do this time around, they’ll be sure to take such things into account.Greetings, everyone! Welcome to the summer special issue all about Wario! I hope you're enjoying our spread on the master of microgames! Not because he’s too much weaker, but because there are viable counterpicks in the rest of the roster. With more effective match-ups against him, MK is not nearly as overpowered in PM than he was in Brawl. But one very effective approach to “nerfing” can be seen in Project M’s take on Meta Knight: improving the other characters. Anything from knockback, launch angle, hitbox placement or even the animation can alter an attack’s effectiveness. It does seem that they’re taking balance very seriously this time around, so we’ll probably see some subtle changes. Not really our usual fare, but I have some thoughts. YAY! Good for you! Even my track record isn’t that good. No idea, but I suppose that’s a pretty fair guess. You could be on to something, but it’s likely not a significant detail. Not sure about how there could be significantly different types of trophies. I’m thinking that he just meant that the trophy collections will be different, and that something was lost in translation. Sorry, but I don’t think this lead goes anywhere.Ī complimentary box of tissues will delivered by mail. Which third- or partially third-party games are featured on Club Nintendo seems to be a crapshoot. True, but Club Nintendo also offers coins for a multitude of licensed games and third-party Virtual Console games. For those interested, our articles from the past concerning Phoenix Wright can be found here, here, and here. How exactly they will function is still hard to say, but it seems that they will move around some, perhaps allowing characters to escape juggling or set up aerials, the like.Įr, okay. ![]() True: a floating Balance Board can be seen in the mirror of this shot:īut this actually isn’t the first time we’ve seen them in this stage: We’ve actually brought up the possibility before. Keep it on the down low, but I think the broader topic of alternate costumes/models will be talked about here before long. Turning Daisy into something more than a palette swap is a valid guess, though, which would be a welcome addition in our eyes. It’s still too early to guess how far the alternate costume mechanic will go. ![]() You see, Daisy’s colours were used by Peach in Melee and Brawl as palette swaps.īut even in these cases, she was still identified as Peach. In short, I can’t say anything definitive, but you very well may be right! One might not think that Sakurai would show the first palette swap in such a subtle way, but then again that is classic Sakurai. After all, he does look a little magenta in the shots in the Wii Fit Gym. So, this very well may be a palette swap with just a few differences from Brawl, or just a weird trick of the light. This shot matches the pink swap’s coat and hat colour, but notice that the crest on his hat is silver in Brawl, and gold in the new screen. Well, he certainly does look pink! And I think I remember a pink palette swap in Brawl … That inbox hasn’t been getting smaller, so I’m going to help answer a few of your questions.
